Sunday School Curriculum

Small group Bible study is extremely important for the life of a believer. Therefore, we want everyone to be able to access resources for digging into God’s word together. The curriculum we use is “Explore The Bible” which goes through the entire Bible, book by book. In addition to a leader and a learner guide, Lifeway also produces commentaries, visual aids, maps, and other resources to help you dig into God’s Word. 

Two ways to access the curriculum: 

  1. Digital Access via Ministry Grid (You can download, view, & print all from your computer, tablet, or phone – watch the video for an overview & click below)
  2. Physical Books (contact the church office at 601-635-2828 and we will get a book for you)

Instructions for Option 1: Digital Access

  • When you click the button you will be taken to the log-in screen for Ministry Grid. Follow the directions to sign in using an existing Lifeway account or create a new one. Once you sign in you will automatically have access to each lesson going forward. That’s it. 
  • To return to the curriculum you simply have to go to ministrygrid.lifeway.com, login, and access the lesson for the current week or even any lesson for the next 8 weeks. 
  • A helpful hint would be to bookmark the website in your browser or add the website to the home screen of your phone or tablet. If you are on an apple device simply open the webpage in your browser, tap the share icon, and scroll down to the “Add to Home Screen” option. You have the chance to name the shortcut before adding it to your device. On an android device tap the menu button in your browser and tap the “Add to Home Screen” option. You will have the chance to name the shortcut before adding it to your device.

FAQ

  • Do I need to download everything provided for each lesson? 
    — Answer: No. You can download just the “Personal Study Guide”/”Daily Discipleship Guide” or you can get the commentary, the quick source, and all the leader helps if you want. 
  • What’s the difference between the “Personal Study Guide” and the “Daily Discipleship Guide?”
    — Answer: Both of these guides study the same Scripture and follow the same schedule. However, the “Daily Discipleship Guide” is designed to be used after the small group Bible study instead of before the lesson. This allows the individual to attend the small group, learn the content, and then build upon what they learned using the five daily, directed Bible studies. The “Personal Study Guide” is designed to be studied before the small group lesson and prepare for discussion in the group. 
  • Do I have to sign up again once the next quarter comes around? 
    — Answer: No. You only have to sign up for the curriculum once. After that, you will automatically have access to future lessons of Explore the Bible. You can simply go to ministrygrid.lifeway.com and log back in to see the most current lesson.
